Tithing, Old or New, Yesterday or For Today

Psalm 24:1 The earth is the Lord’s, and all its fullness, the world and those who dwell therein.  You are not the owner of the land you live on, it belongs to God. You are “renting” the field, the earth, and this “rent” is given in the form of “tithes.” Your tithes are only given for the use of the land you live on. Tithes open the door to give the benefits God has for you, which include health and protection.

Many people see blessings, but are not tithing, and think that God is blessing them. God causes the sun to rise on the good and the evil and sends rain on the just and the unjust, Matthew 5:45. Some people confuse God’s approval with His blessings, not understanding that their hard work will produce a harvest. Some people claim that paying tithes was in the Mosaic law, however Abraham paid tithes 500 years before the Mosaic law was given. God blesses the person who is obedient to His commands.
