Like The Days Of Daniel

In watching the US economy we are hearing more and more about a recession, economic collapse, higher oil prices, which are now at $103.00 a barrel, and other financial concerns for America. We have watched home sales and every industry related to them be hit hard from the mortgage crises. We hear daily news reports of American's loosing their homes, higher gas prices, higher utility prices, corporate losses, a unstable stock market, and across the board America and American's are struggling.

Meanwhile billions and billions are being spent overseas to fight terrorism and being pledged to others countries and we are seeing a split it the power of this nation in many forms of government. Unity within our government is not to be found.

We all have heard stories of the great depression, and maybe some recall it. Could that happen again? Yes, it could. But the question is are we making preparations for the just in case that does happen again or the economy hits rock bottom.

What if gasoline prices were to sky rocket due to further terrorism? In the last two years oil has gone from $55.00 a barrel to $103.00 per barrel. What if in the next 6 months oil hits $200.00 a barrel. Would and could that affect the trucking industry and could that affect each and every American?

What if weather patters continue to worsen and crops losses are high? What if there is another major attack against this country or we are further drawn into war with Iran or another nation? What if the economic corporate structure of this country were to worsen and jobs became harder to find than they already are and even worse, jobs ceased?

There are numerous things that could happen that could affect us all, and they could happen slowly or instantly.

The reason that I have posted this post is not to instill fear, but to share the fact that we should be prepared, and store up provision for the just in case. Daniel through a dream from God was positioned to be a part of storing provision for a coming drought in the land. Are we facing a coming drought in the land, a economic meltdown as some are predicting.

Everyday we use things. Yet picture those things not being available or not having the finances to purchase them. From food, to cleaning needs, to family medications and so on. From the least most important things to the everyday must have things. We all know what it's like to be out of toothpaste, toilet paper, and short on food. What if the house became bare of these things? How would we survive?

What of our children's needs? Would we be prepared? What of our relatives needs? Would we be able to help?

Do we not see the rise of the homeless right before our eye's? Do we not see and understand how fragile things have become, how they are balancing on a fine line?

Make provision for the just in case. Because the just in case could become reality.

The Seriousness Of God

God Took You Seriously

People give their lives to Jesus Christ for many reasons. Some need physical or emotional healing; others are in search of peace and forgiveness. Whatever our condition, God meets us in the valley of our need. Indeed, the Lord reveals Himself to man as heaven's answer for our needs. He is a father of the fatherless and a judge for the widows. He even makes a home for the lonely and leads out the prisoners into prosperity (Ps. 68:5-6).

God uses our need to draw us to Christ.

Yet, the consciousness of our need narrows our revelation of God, limiting His activity in our lives to the boundaries of our struggles. Thus, many Christians never awakened spiritually to the deeper call of God, which is to attain the likeness of Christ. We are forgiven, healed and blessed, but we experience a ceiling on our spiritual growth.

Regardless, the Spirit of God remains committed to our personal transformation. If we should awakened spiritually to the vision of Christlikeness, the attention of God will approach us in a unique and powerful way. Indeed, two things will occur: one, we will read the Scriptures with revelation; Gods word will speak to us in a much deeper way as we discover the reason why we exist.

The second reality that will unfold is this: our lives will begin to progressively face greater challenges. You see, we think that just having a sincere desire to be like Jesus is itself an attainment, and it is. But it is only a beginning. If we are serious about our transformation, God becomes serious in fulfilling our quest. He will place us in situations that are designed to kill our old nature, often compelling us to Christlikeness just to survive the battle.

Consider the heroes you have studied in the Bible: each faced great conflicts before they reached certain spiritual levels, and they often experienced greater conflicts after they enjoyed important breakthroughs. Look at what Joseph experienced before he attained his destiny. Or consider what David had to conquer before he became king. God is not squeamish about testing our character. His goal is to create in us the very life of Jesus.

Consider what Jesus faced at the Jordan River. First, He was empowered by the Holy Spirit. We would think this Spirit empowering would launch Christ into His public ministry, but instead He is driven by the Spirit into the wilderness. Why? The Bible says, to be tempted [or tested] by the devil. For forty days Jesus fasted and prayed. At the end of this time, we might expect a great spiritual breakthrough, but the opposite actually occurred. In fact, the first supernatural being who appeared to Jesus after His fast was not God, but the devil.

Three times the character of Jesus was tested by Satan himself. Most of us are familiar with the story of Christ in the wilderness (Matt. 4:111), but remember: Jesus faced all three of these temptations without having eaten for forty days. In weakness, the tests grew more intense. And here is my point. If we are serious about personal transformation, we will soon realize that when we pass a test, life does not necessarily become easier. In fact, what occurs is that we soon graduate into something more difficult. And it is here, in the more difficult test, that our quest for Christlikeness is being answered.

Perhaps you are facing conflict that seems beyond your understanding. You ask, Why am I in this battle? What did I do to deserve this conflict? It is possible that the whole reason for your increased warfare is that you prayed, sincerely, "Father, I want to be like Jesus." God took you seriously. by Francis Frangipane http://frangipane.org

LIFE IN CHRIST

Gal 2:20 I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.

Rom 8:10 And if Christ [be] in you, the body [is] dead because of sin; but the Spirit [is] life because of righteousness.

Jud 1:21 Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.

Amen!

Open Heavens

There is such a move of the spirit taking place right now in the nations of the world. Yes there is kaos, wars, rummors of wars, death and even destruction. Nations are encountering many tragic situations and our fragil world is showing it's need for God's love, compassion, mercy and help.

Yet within all that is unfolding. There is a mighty move of the Spirit of God drawing people and the peoples of the nations unto Him. We see it is the youth, we see it in the fatherless, we see it in the hurting, the hungry, the poor, the needy, the widows and especially in the eyes of the children. That cry for help, for love, for exceptance.

And as it is writen in scripture, when we seek and cry out to God, we find. We find the love of God, the Passion of Christ, His Redeeming Passion, flowing through open heavens over us.

May we all find the favor of God, the peace of God, and the love and passion of God moving us to compassion for and towards others. May the windows of heaven open wide, and may our hearts open wide to receive His love.

Ministry Blessings

Free For All

The love of Christ was freely poured out on the cross at Calvary. Today the love of Christ continues to be freely poured out. When we seek His face through worship, in prayer and in times of silence and meditations. The Lord freely reveals His love to us, by the Spirit.

Now that is good news.

Your Words Are Poweful

Out of the mouth come forth blessings and curses. How true.

Have you ever been the victim of angry hateful words? They have an affect. It is the same with words of encouragement, love, and blessings. Unlike words of anger and hatred, words of encouragement, love, and blessings are sweet to the soul, and encouraging to the ears and heart.
We speak words daily, sometimes hourly. They are like seeds sown that are heard and can fall into the hearts of others, grow and produce fruit.

Therefore let our words be seeds of love, of compassion, and of encouragement. That doesn't mean that occasionally prophetic words, words sown can't be hard, or exhorting one to greater things, and away from sin, trouble, and a path of destruction. The scriptures are full of such words, passages, and prophetic unctions. There are those times.

Yet our world, humanity, is full of words, seeds, that are full of hatred, bitterness, strife, contention, and murderous thought. Words that create more of the very seed and essence that they are of.

Let us walk in love, by the spirit, in Christ, and sow words of love, of compassion, of blessings, having mercy and words of encouragement. Let us love one another with the love of Christ flowing like a powerful river full of compassion.
